Hi, I’m Rachael!

I can genuinely say that I have always had a passion for helping others. People often told me that I was a good listener, and I remember being in high school and dreaming of one day opening my own therapy practice.

I attended Monmouth University in New Jersey, where I completed a five-year Master of Social Work program and graduated in 2018. During college, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations, including children, older adults, oncology patients, and veterans. These experiences strengthened my passion for the field and helped shape the clinician I would become.

After graduation, I returned home to Massachusetts, earned my LCSW, and spent three years working in the substance use field. During that time, I grew from a clinician into a clinical supervisor, gaining valuable experience supporting both clients and fellow professionals.

I later joined a group private practice, where I began providing individual therapy and earned my LICSW (#125450). While there, I also became a clinical supervisor and Associate Director of the practice. I loved the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships while continuing to learn about different treatment approaches and ways to support clients. It was during this time that I began developing my areas of specialty, including anxiety, OCD, substance use, and trauma.

In August 2026, the time came to open Through the Valley Counseling—my very own private practice. I am deeply grateful for every person, experience, and opportunity that helped bring me to this point.

Now, I have the privilege of continuing the passion that first inspired me years ago: helping people navigate life’s challenges, discover their strengths, and move toward meaningful growth. Thank you for being here and for trusting me to walk alongside you through life’s victories and valleys.
